I really, really want to make one of these.

I found the most fantastic piece of tatting ever and now I really want to make one for myself.  I’ve got quite a lot of other projects to finish first, but this is definitely going on my “One Day I’ll Get Around to This” list.  I’ll be thinking about the basic design as I flip through the Priscilla books.  Hopefully, I’ll find a pattern in there that I can modify for it.  Maybe one of those yoke patterns.   In the meantime, I’ll just have to sit at my computer and drool over Orsi’s.

You do have good taste! I’d seen this and liked it immediately, but you’re going to go with it and design your own! Good for you. I look forward to seeing it. Karen in OR
P.S. Looking forward to seeing you in Spokane.

It’s going to be quite a while before I get to it. I have way to many super large UFOs. Still working on that tablecloth I started at the 2009 Shuttlebirds workshop.

    Hi Jessica!

I’am so glad to see my work in your blog, and thanks for your appreciation. If you have any questions about it or you need any pattern ( not for the lace, but for the suit ), please contact me. And I am very curious about others works, so about yours as well, and it is so interesting to see how can an idea transform in somebody else’s hands. So go on and good luck!!! 😀

Thanks Orsi! I’ll probably need lots of help in figuring out the suit part. I’m not very good at sewing. I think there may be some yokes in the Priscilla books that might work for the top part. I won’t have a chance to think about it much for a while, but I’m looking forward to attempting it at some point.

By the way. LOVE the red color!

Ah, you found Orsi’s work! Isn’t it gorgeous? I’ve sewn for years and used to make the majority of my clothes but I think this is beyond me. Looking forward to your project when you get to it!

Thanks Gina! It’s going to be a while before a start another big project, but I’ve already gotten a couple ideas for it after flipping through the Priscilla books. If I can find something in there that I think will work it that would be great!
